Last year , the 1st Bloxwich Scouts were
BADLY LET DOWN by their transport provider. This year there will be
NO FLOATS AT ALL due to the
CRAZY COSTS AND REGULATIONS imposed on voluntary organisations in so-called
MODERN BRITAIN. If only we could
TURN BACK THE CLOCK to an era when we were ruled by
COMMON SENSE and not treated as drooling babies by
THE NANNY STATE!
THE FORRENER would like to know just
WHERE the public spirit of this
ONCE GREAT NATION has gone? Perhaps our much-vaunted
PARLIAMENT should dip into their collective pockets and spend its
ALLOWANCES on something that will benefit
THE PEOPLE instead of
THEMSELVES for a change...
As usual of course it's the
GOOD PEOPLE OF BLOXWICH who have to do the
DONKEY WORK, and all credit to our
CARNIVAL COMMITTEE and everyone involved in the event, both volunteers and Council staff. I hope
BLOXWICH FOLK of all ages will flock to the
CARNIVAL on 1 August and support this year's event in
EVER GREATER NUMBERS.
