The oldest pub still open in Bloxwich is being re-launched under new management, and the changes are being kick-started with a special 60's night in December. At a time when Bloxwich pubs are disappearing fast, this is really encouraging news.
Andy, the new manager at The Royal Exchange, in Stafford Road, is promising to make it one of the liveliest and best inns in the village.
And as pub spokeswoman Katie Ann said "He is promising good beer, friendly smart staff, a high standard of llve entertainment on a regular basis, and pork scratchings. What more could you ask for?"
The popular 18th century pub plans to hit the ground running, as the re-launch begins with a FREE admission 'Soultown' launch party on 4 December from around 7pm. It’s a 1960's theme night and according to Katie Ann, "...a lot are dressing up for the occasion".
The DJ is offering a night of Northern Soul and Motown, with non-stop dancing.
Food, special offers and games will complete a hip and happening night out, so so why not dust off that mod gear, polish your scooter and head on down to the Royal Exchange? Be there - or be square!
