If it's good enough for Walsall, it must be good enough for Lower Farm and Little Bloxwich, it seems!
Hot news received today is that Demi Cullum, the young songstress from Walsall College who featured in the auditions for TV's The X-Factor earlier this year, will be appearing as a Special Guest at the Grand Switching on of the Lower Farm Estate Christmas lights this Thursday night 3 December 2009.
The switch-on will take place on the Buxton Road island at 6pm and will be followed by a Christmas Fair in the nearby Lower Farm Primary School.
Other attractions expected will include: Demi and a choir singing in the hall, bell ringers, Santa's Grotto, tomobola and chocolate tombola, a roundabout and a bouncy castle, and festive refreshments on sale.
The event is supported by Bloxwich Councillors Bill Tweddle and Les Beeley.

Update 2 December 2009: the Lower Farm Christmas tree arrived yesterday and electricians arrived to connect the lights this morning.
