Here's your chance to find out about the wonderful game of chess! There are many superb websites dedicated to Chess, too many to list here, so we have only linked to a few of the best - no reflection on others around the world.
Some online games and some downloadable games are linked from here, so you can play against others via the internet, or against the computer, and local clubs are also listed (sadly there is not one in Bloxwich itself).
If you want to buy a chess set, try eBay first as the average non-specialist shop in the UK rarely sells anything other than cheap versions for the kids (if you can find one in a shop!), in my recent experience.
There is plenty of info online about the history and how to play the game of chess, and you could fill an entire library with chess books! To get you started, here are some links to good basic resources to introduce you to the game.
