Out here in the wilds of dear old Bloxwich, we don't usually feel all that close to our distant cousins the Brummies. We certainly don't want to be part of 'Greater Birmingham' - in fact, some of us are not even sure if we want to be part of Walsall!
However, one thing The Tallygraph is sure that all Bloxwich, Black Country and Birmingham football fans can agree on, is that it would be great for sport in the area and the regional economy if Birmingham was successful in bidding to become one of the host cities for the 2018 World Cup.
You can support that bid by clicking on this link - Back the Birmingham Bid - and then the red button on the website and selecting Birmingham amongst the list of 16 cities all competing to be a host city for the World Cup. Sadly, we'd never be able to fit a World Cup crowd into the Old Red Lion Ground, so you won't find Bloxwich on the list!
If you are on Facebook, you can also show your support by becoming a fan via this link.
This bid is being supported by all our top local clubs including Walsall, the Baggies, Wolves, Villa and Blues. Good luck to them and to Brum - and thanks to the guys at Bostin for alerting The Tallygraph to this bid!
